Bike Trains are Rolling Out!
"What's a 'bike train'" you ask? A fun way for you to get to work on May 20th!
Bike Trains are group bicycle rides with a predetermined route, starting point, and stops along the way -- all on a time schedule. They do not necessarily bring participants door-to-door from origin to destination, but could help them cover most of the commute while in a group. A departure time from each planned stop is shared in advance. Participants plan accordingly to reach the closest stop from their starting point on time before the scheduled departure of the "train." Unless participants are lucky enough for the train's route to pass directly in front of their final destination, they generally separate from the group whenever the train comes closest.
Group rides are not only a fun, social way to bike to work, they can help people new to bicycle commuting feel safer and more confident.
